Sarah is currently pursuing her PhD in English Literature and Criticism, with a focus on twentieth and twenty-first century American women's memoirs. Studying this has allowed her to combine her love of writing and literature with her passion for women's rights and learning from people's personal stories. Throughout her academic career, she has been teaching writing and literature to undergraduate students. In addition, she has assisted in an elementary school program where she co-taught literacy to students to help them improve their writing and reading skills. She earned her MA in English Literature and Criticism from Binghamton University, and her BS in Professional Writing with a minor in Literature from Slippery Rock University.
